Chaparral is 0-3 against Pinecrest Academy Cadence since January of 2024 but things could change  on Wednesday. The Chaparral Cowboys are taking a road trip to  square off against the Pinecrest Academy Cadence Cougars  at 6:30  p.m.

 Despite the  defeat, Chaparral saw an underclassman step up: freshman  Zamariyah Walker  almost  dropped  a double-double on 14  points and nine  boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most  points  Walker has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Trinity Leemon, who  posted five  points in addition to eight  boards and eight  blocks.
Meanwhile,  winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Pinecrest Academy Cadence). They really took it to Varsity Opponent for the full four quarters, racking up  a  55-3 win. The  victory was some much needed relief for the Cougars as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak.
 Chaparral better keep an eye on  Aspen Larson. She was instrumental in Pinecrest Academy Cadence's win,  as she made all 8  shots she took to post 16 points. Another player making a difference was  Jazmine Davis, who  put up eight  points.
 Pinecrest Academy Cadence's win  ended  a  six-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 4-12. As for Chaparral, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.
