Meanwhile, South Lafourche never let their opponents score on Thursday. They blew past Salmen 16-0. That looming 16-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Tarpons yet this season.
Kooper Worley made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

South Lafourche has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hits: they averaged an imposing 9.56 hits in those games compared to only five in the others. Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy's record is now 5-8.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6.5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like South Lafourche struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
