The Madison Plains Golden Eagles had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They managed a 34-30 win over Catholic Central on Saturday. The victory was just what Madison Plains needed coming off of a 59-27 loss in their prior game.
Madison Plains' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ariel Stout led the charge by scoring 13 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Stout has scored all season. Lyla Coil was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with ten rebounds.
Madison Plains' win ended a ten-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-11. As for Catholic Central, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.
Madison Plains will look to defend their home court on Monday against Northeastern at 6:00 p.m. Northeastern is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Catholic Central, they will head out on the road to take on Franklin Monroe at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
