After two games on the road, Lehi is heading back home. They will take on the Lone Peak Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Friday, Lehi faced Skyridge in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Lehi took down Skyridge 56-40. That 16 points margin sets a new team best for Lehi this season.
Addy Scrivner continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 24 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellie Hill, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds.
In what's become a running theme this season, Lone Peak gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Skyridge 69-30 at home. Given Lone Peak's advantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked fourth, while Skyridge is ranked 25th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Lone Peak's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sarah Bartholomew, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds. Shawnee Nordstrom was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with three steals.
Lehi's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Lone Peak, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as the pair are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Lehi hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 51.3 points per game. It's a different story for Lone Peak, though, as they've been averaging only 62 points per game. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
Lehi didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Lone Peak when the teams last played back in December of 2019, but they still walked away with a 67-61 win. Does Lehi have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lone Peak turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
