The Bishop Moore Hornets will face off against the Mulberry Panthers at TBD on Tuesday. Bishop Moore is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
Last Friday, it was a hard-fought game, but Bishop Moore had to settle for a 53-50 defeat against the Patriots. While losing is never fun, Bishop Moore can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 223rd, while the Patriots are ranked 69th).
Despite the defeat, Bishop Moore had strong showings from Justin Suarez, who scored 22 points, and Cameron Codio, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds. Codio is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 17 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Mark Dadlani, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, even though Hernando scored an imposing 57 points on Friday, Mulberry still came out on top. Mulberry secured a 61-57 W over the Leopards. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Mulberry.
Bishop Moore has not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season. As for Mulberry, their victory bumped their record up to 13-10.
