The Slidell Tigers will stay at home for another game and welcome the Mandeville Skippers at 7:15 p.m. on January 23rd. Slidell knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past ten contests -- so hopefully Mandeville likes a good challenge.
On Saturday, Slidell strolled past Bourgeois with points to spare, taking the game 68-54.
Slidell's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaden Hookfin, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jerry Birdlow, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Mandeville's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell to Northshore 42-38.
Slidell's victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-9. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 25.33 points. As for Mandeville, their loss ended a ten-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-9.
