The Warhawks narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  team sidled past the Rockets  8-7. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Warhawks.
 North Mahaska's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Belle Plaine, their loss dropped their record down to 0-12.
 Belle Plaine skirted past North Mahaska  9-8 in their previous meeting  back in June of 2024. Will the Plainsmen repeat their success,  or do  the Warhawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
