Alta's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Leafa Niumeitolu, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. Niumeitolu hasn't dropped below 15 points for eight straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Aolele Liavaa, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
When it comes to explaining why Skyline lost, one person who can't be blamed is Leelu Bare. Despite the final result, she scored 15 points. Mia Johnson was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with two steals.
Alta's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Skyline, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alta will take on the Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
