The Hartselle Tigers entered their tilt with the Bob Jones Patriots with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Hartselle strolled past Bob Jones with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 35-21. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Hartselle also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2022.
Peyton Steele went supernova for Hartselle, rushing for 156 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.2 yards per carry. Lincoln Bryant was another major influence, as he rushed for 71 yards and ran in a TD.
When it comes to explaining why Bob Jones lost, one person who can't be blamed is Tyren Washington. Despite the final result, he rushed for 118 yards and two touchdowns.
Hartselle pushed their record up to 8-2 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Admittedly, the team didn't face the toughest opposition across those games, namely Bob Jones, Decatur, and Columbia. As for Bob Jones, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
Hartselle will be playing at home against Center Point at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Center Point will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 90th, while Hartselle is ranked 29th). As for Bob Jones, they will head out on the road to face off against Hewitt-Trussville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
