Era is 0-10 against the Hornets since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Era Hornets will head out on the road to square off against the Muenster Hornets at 7:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Era sitting on three straight victories and the Hornets on eight.
Even though Era has not done well against the Bulldogs recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Era slipped by the Bulldogs 59-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Meanwhile, Muenster beat the Pirates 49-39 on Friday.
Era's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-12. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for Muenster, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.
Era came up short against the Hornets when the teams last played back in January, falling 52-44. Can Era avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
