Eupora have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. They will challenge Leflore County on the road at LEFLORE COUNTY HS at 7:00 PM on Friday. If the contest is anything like the 46-40 finish from the last time they met, the scorekeeper will be kept real busy.
Eupora might have drawn first blood against East Webster two weeks ago, but it was East Webster who got the last laugh. Eupora and East Webster were almost perfectly matched up, but Eupora suffered an agonizing 6-7 loss. Things were expected to be close, but in this case the state rankings mixed up the winning team.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 38 points the game before, Leflore County faltered in their game last Friday. They found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 6-38 punch to the gut against Simmons last Friday. This matchup was a close 6-8 at the break, but unfortunately for Leflore County it sure didn't stay that way.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a defeat, both will be hungry for the victory. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
