The biggest upset of the week belonged to Swartz Creek, who took down 97th ranked Lapeer West, 24-21. Brendon Fitch threw for 115 yards and 2 touchdowns in the win.
Fenton extended the longest winning streak in Flint Metro this week by beating Brandon, 28-14. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Linden's dynamic duo of Gage Smith and Marshael Ryan proved to be unstoppable against Kearsley, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Smith threw for 258 yards and 3 touchdowns and Ryan had 78 yards receiving.
The Eagles' dynamic duo of Smith and Ryan proved tough for the Hornets to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Ryan was the best receiver in the league this week as Linden bested Kearsley.
Smith put up the best numbers through the air as Dennis Hopkins' team beat Philip Martin's team.
Marquavian Stephens was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 93 yards on 12 carries as the Dragons defeated the Hornets.
Swartz Creek's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Dragons feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Fitch has thrown for 1,018 yards and 12 touchdowns this season, while Brandyn Matte has 13 catches for 283 yards.
An important game coming up in Flint Metro this week will be when Linden takes on the Panthers. As it stands, the Eagles are in third, while Lapeer West is in fourth.
Swartz Creek scaled the state rankings by moving to 196 from 243 this week, the biggest jump in the league. Brad Brown's team climbed the ranks as a result of topping Mike Smith's team 24-21.
