DeSoto County has gone 9-1 against Bayshore recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Bulldogs will welcome the Bruins at 6:00 p.m. DeSoto County will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

DeSoto County took a seven-run defeat the last time they faced off against Hardee, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bulldogs had just enough and edged out the Wildcats 4-3. That's two games straight that the Bulldogs have won by just one run.

Mya Goodnoe made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over 5.2 innings pitched. Goodnoe was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with three RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emery Skinner, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.

DeSoto County hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in 11 consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Bayshore made easy work of Gibbs on Thursday and carried off a 23-8 victory. The Bruins might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by ten runs or more this season.

DeSoto County pushed their record up to 11-5 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.2 runs over those games. As for Bayshore, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

DeSoto County took their victory against Bayshore in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 20-5 score. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Bruins have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
