It was a good run, but the Simsboro Tigers unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Choudrant by a score of 77-74. Simsboro was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Aggies apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played last Tuesday.
Michael Jones was nothing short of spectacular for Choudrant: he scored 37 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Jones has scored at least a third of Choudrant's points. Lawson Stevens was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Simsboro's defeat dropped their record down to 20-12. As for Choudrant, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-12.
Simsboro will head out on the road to face off against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Forest will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings (they are ranked 369th, while the Tigers are ranked 164th). As for Choudrant, they will play host again and welcome the Demons, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Downsville is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
