The Marquette Catholic Explorers lost against the Hillsboro Hiltoppers back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Marquette Catholic had to suffer through a rough 50-22 loss at the hands of Hillsboro.
Hillsboro found their leader in underclassman Kearstynn Davis, who scored 15 points along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds. Amya Greenwood was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Marquette Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Hillsboro, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-5.
Marquette Catholic will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Father McGivney Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on December 7th. Father McGivney Catholic's defense has only allowed 28.8 points per game this season, so Marquette Catholic's offense will have their work cut out for Marquette Catholic. As for Hillsboro, they will face off against Nokomis at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.
