Pamlico County is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Northside - Pinetown is on a five-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Pamlico County Hurricanes will take on the Northside - Pinetown Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Monday, Pamlico County got themselves on the board against Jones, but Jones never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Trojans 55-0 at home. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Pamlico County had established a 48 point advantage.
Jayden Williams went supernova for Pamlico County, rushing for 141 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries. Treyvon Munford made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Meanwhile, Northside - Pinetown put the finishing touches on their seventh blowout victory of the season on Thursday. They blew past Lejeune, posting a 55-0 victory at home.
Jamie Corprew was his usual excellent self, rushing for 194 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 carries. Corprew hasn't dropped below two rushing touchdowns for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Sincere Columbus, who rushed for 43 yards and two touchdowns.
Their wins bumped Pamlico County to 3-6 and Northside - Pinetown to 7-2.
Pamlico County was taken down by Northside - Pinetown 54-8 in their previous matchup back in October of 2022. Thankfully for Pamlico County, Marcus Clayton (who rushed for 155 yards and four touchdowns on only 13 carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
