Wakeland won the last time they faced Lone Star and Stella Sanford did her part to make sure it happened again. The Wolverines walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Rangers on Tuesday with plenty of help from Sanford, who had four digs and three aces. She is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Wakeland walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the fourth set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 16-25, 25-21, 25-14.

Despite the loss, Lone Star still got an impressive performance from Katherine Hudson, who had 14 digs and four aces.

The victory made it two in a row for Wakeland and bumps their season record up to 24-7. As for Lone Star, their loss dropped their record down to 18-13.

Wakeland and Lone Star should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Wolverines (ranked 49th) will meet Turner (ranked 1002nd) at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Lone Star will challenge The Colony at 5:30 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (122 vs. 561).
