The Conway Tigers won the last time they faced the Carolina Forest Panthers, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Conway managed a 38-33 victory over the Panthers.
Conway's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Amaris Wilson, who scored 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wilson has scored all season. Jordan Jenkins was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Carolina Forest's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Daniel Allen, who scored six points along with five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Phillip McLean, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds.
The victory got Conway back to even at 12-12. As for Carolina Forest, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.
Conway will head out on the road to face off against the Braves at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in South Carolina (Socastee is ranked 72nd, while the Tigers are ranked 67th). As for Carolina Forest, they will be playing at home against the Gamecocks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
