Chittenango is on  a  three-game streak of home wins, while Cicero-North Syracuse is on  a  four-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. The Bears will host the Northstars  at 11:45  a.m.  on Saturday. Chittenango is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.7  runs per game  this season.
Chittenango's pitching crew heads into the  contest  hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed  on Friday. They put the hurt on Oneida with a sharp  7-0 victory. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by seven  runs or more this season.
The result came thanks to  Julia Spencer's shutout, as she gave up just a  hit and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in three consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  Hannah Machan was a standout: she went 1-for-4 with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double. Another player making a difference was  Alivia Cavotta, who  went 2-for-3 with one  stolen base and one  RBI.
Meanwhile, Cicero-North Syracuse earned  a  7-3 win over Oak Glen  on Wednesday.
 Kiyara Bembry spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned  (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up six Ks. Those six  strikeouts set a new season-high mark for  her.
 On the hitting side, Cicero-North Syracuse got a big performance out of  Marisa Leone, who  went 2-for-4 with one  stolen base, two  RBI,  and one  run. The team also got some help courtesy of  Aubrey Coyle, who  went 1-for-3 with one  triple, one  run,  and one  RBI.
 Cicero-North Syracuse  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least eight  hits every time they've taken the field this season.
 Chittenango's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Cicero-North Syracuse, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
Cicero-North Syracuse's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them:  Chittenango has been making plenty of contact this season,  having  averaged 10.5  hits per game. It's a different story for Cicero-North Syracuse, though, as  they've been averaging 9  hits. Given Chittenango's sizable advantage in that area, the Northstars will need to find a way to close that gap.
