The Mullen Broncos''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Wynot, falling 50-20. Mullen was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-0.
Mullen's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Chase Gracey, who rushed for 59 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 156 yards and a touchdown on only ten passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Werner, who picked up 84 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Wynot's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Chase Schroeder, who picked up 116 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Kasen Koch was in the mix too, providing Wynot with two touchdowns.
Mullen's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 5-5. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 14.0 points per game. As for Wynot, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Mullen does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Wynot will stay at home for another week and welcome St. Francis at 5:00 p.m. on November 3rd. St. Francis is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
