Even though the Marbury Bulldogs scored an imposing 58 points on Tuesday, the Benjamin Russell Wildcats still came out on top. Benjamin Russell took their match against Marbury 69-58. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Benjamin Russell also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2018.
Marbury's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was DJ Graham, who scored 17 points along with 5 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamar Brown, who scored 10 points along with 6 rebounds.
Benjamin Russell's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Marbury, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Benjamin Russell is on the road again on Thursday and play against Auburn at 7:00 p.m. on December 7th. Auburn will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. As for Marbury, they will head out on the road to face off against Autaugaville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
