The Rain Red Raiders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fifth straight loss. They took a hard 35-19 fall against St. Luke's Episcopal. Rain was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as St. Luke's Episcopal apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2017.
It was another big night for Kalaysia Robinson, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 rebounds for St. Luke's Episcopal. Robinson set a new season high mark in blocks with three. Another player making a difference was Ashlyn Turner, who scored six points along with three steals.
Rain's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for St. Luke's Episcopal, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rain will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off.
