Blue Island Eisenhower hasn't had much luck against Bremen recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Cardinals will challenge the Braves at 4:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Blue Island Eisenhower is headed into Monday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Thursday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lemont.

Adriel Castro put in work no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in April. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run. He is becoming a predictor of Blue Island Eisenhower's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 2-1 (and 6-16 when he doesn't).
Castro wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jo'Mari Dixon, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Bremen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 7-3 to Argo.
Jack Banda spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and five unearned) runs on nine hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
Blue Island Eisenhower's loss dropped their record down to 8-17. As for Bremen, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-15.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Blue Island Eisenhower has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Bremen struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Blue Island Eisenhower suffered a grim 17-2 defeat to Bremen when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Cardinals avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
