The Wickenburg Wranglers were the 50-35 winner over the Camp Verde Cowboys when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. Wickenburg suffered a rough 50-26 loss at the hands of Camp Verde on Saturday.
Camp Verde's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Marisol Salas Zorrilla, who scored 14 points along with 4 steals. Another player making a difference was Page Oothoudt, who scored 12 points.
Wickenburg's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Camp Verde, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.
Wickenburg will take on Tonopah Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Tonopah Valley comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 15 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. Camp Verde's road trip will continue as they head out to face Santa Rita at 4:00 p.m. on December 2nd. Santa Rita comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
