Softball Recap: Alameda Find Success

Alameda won the last time they faced Mt. Eden and things went their way on Monday too. The Hornets came out on top against the Monarchs by a score of 7-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hornets.

Mia Wong was incredible, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Miley Gradney was another key player, going 4-for-5 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Alameda kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mt. Eden only managed two hits.

Alameda's record now sits at 10-7-1. As for Mt. Eden, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season.

Alameda will square off against Arroyo at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Hornets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Dons have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season. As for Mt. Eden, they will take on Encinal at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
