The Shorecrest Prep Chargers waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They came out on top against Admiral Farragut by a score of 44-36. That's another feather in the cap for Shorecrest Prep, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Leading Shorecrest Prep to victory were Enrique Negron and Nickolas Bearden. Negron scored 13 points, while Bearden scored 17 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Bearden has scored at least a third of Shorecrest Prep's points.
Admiral Farragut lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Lukas Fontasiewicz, who scored nine points along with five assists and two steals. Gabe Tiesnesis was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with two steals.
Shorecrest Prep's win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Admiral Farragut, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-8.
Shorecrest Prep will head out on the road to take on the Pirates at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Admiral Farragut, they will be playing at home against the Crusaders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
