The North Forrest Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Raleigh Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Friday, North Forrest didn't have too much trouble with Leake Central at home as they won 57-42. The victory was just what North Forrest needed coming off of a 43-13 loss in their prior match.
Meanwhile, Raleigh had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 43.5 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They really took it to Pelahatchie for the full four quarters, racking up a 47-0 victory at home. Considering Raleigh has won six matches by more than 19 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Raleigh relied on the efforts of Deuce Carter, who rushed for 96 yards and a touchdown, and Kyvryn Moncrief, who rushed for 70 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Bowen, who threw for 91 yards and two touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes.
Their wins bumped North Forrest to 4-6 and Raleigh to 8-2.
