The Union Farmers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 52-39 to Elizabeth. Union lost against Elizabeth in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 42-40 score last time.
Elizabeth got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jayden Johnson out in front who scored 16 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Johnson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Christopher Clark, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds.
Union's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Elizabeth, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Union will head out on the road to face off against Linden at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Elizabeth will be home for the holidays to greet Plainfield at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
