Even though the North Springs Spartans scored an imposing 65 points on Tuesday, the Centennial Knights still came out on top. Centennial walked away with a 78-65 victory over North Springs. The win made it back-to-back wins for Centennial.
Despite the loss, North Springs still got an impressive performance from Esmer Madesko, who dropped a double-double on 36 points and 13 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Madesko pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Troy Hill, who scored ten points.
Centennial is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season. As for North Springs, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-13.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Centennial will take on Chattahoochee at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for North Springs, they will head out on the road to take on Cambridge at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Cambridge will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
