After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Holy Family, Erie was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They never let the Frederick Golden Eagles get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. Considering the Tigers have won six games by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Erie got a great performance from Peyton Watts as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over five innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave Watts a new career-high.
At the plate, Erie let Austin Muir and Ronin Ward run wild. Muir went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run, while Ward went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Erie is 9-1 when Ward posts two or more runs, but 2-4 otherwise. Jack Carnival was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple and one run.
