The Linden Patriots will head out on the road to face off against the Dallas County Hornets at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Linden is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
Last Friday, Linden was beaten by Demopolis 62-26. While losing is never fun, Linden can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 374th, while Demopolis is ranked 183rd).
Despite the loss, Linden had strong showings from Isaiah Brown, who scored nine points, and Keilyn Edwards, who scored seven points.
Meanwhile, even though Maplesville scored an imposing 63 points on Tuesday, Dallas County still came out on top. Dallas County narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Maplesville 66-63.
Dallas County's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Joshua Davis III , who scored 21 points along with six rebounds, and Cameron King, who scored 23 points along with nine rebounds. The game was Davis III 's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Alkareem Wilson was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds.
Linden's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Dallas County, their win bumped their record up to 3-6.
