Volleyball Recap: Thursday's Win Is Axtell's Third in Last Four Outings

Axtell won the last time they faced Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] and things went their way on Thursday too. The Wildcats walked away with a 2-0 victory over Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood].

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Axtell took both sets by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-15.

Their offense was headlined by Addyson Skaggs and Emily Danburg, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Madison Wells and her 16 assists. Leah Stritt controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Axtell has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-8 record this season. As for Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood], their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.

Coincidentally, Axtell and Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] will both be playing Loomis the next time they take the court. The Wildcats will host the Wolves at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
