The biggest upset of the week belonged to Vandegrift, who took down 137th ranked Rouse, 20-14. Jamie Hudson threw for 79 yards and one touchdown and ran for 127 yards in the win.
Cedar Park extended the longest winning streak in 4A Region IV District 25 this week by beating Vista Ridge, 17-10. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.
Marble Falls's dynamic duo of Mike Richardson and Garrett Gray proved tough for Dripping Springs to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Richardson threw for 306 yards and three touchdowns and Gray had 154 yards receiving. Ishaih Carson helped Marble Falls' passing attack out by catching four balls for 64 yards.
JOBE FALCON was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 21 carries, he ran for 152 yards as the Tigers bested the Tigers. DEREK McLEMORE also contributed to the rushing game with six yards on the ground.
Marble Falls' Richardson and Gray have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Richardson has thrown for 2629 yards this season, while Gray has 77 catches for 1150 yards. Caleb Woodward from Leander leads the league in rushing with 1090 yards.
Two of the top units in 4A Region IV District 25 will face off this week when Todd Dodge's team takes on the Lions. The Mustangs' offense has recorded 314 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while Leander has permitted only 57 on the year.
Billy McCrary of the the Raiders is only 39 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 181 carries McCrary has accumulated 961 yard this year.
Dripping Springs' COLE ROGERS is only 100 receiving yards away from breaking 1,000 receiving yards this season as he enters this week's game against the Cedar Park. So far this year, he has garnered 50 catches for 900 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Rouse takes on Vista Ridge. As it stands, Joshua Mann's team is in fourth, while the Rangers are in second.
Marble Falls moved up to 308 from 360 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Mustangs climbed the ranks as a result of besting Bob Schultz's team 38-35.
