Wood has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge The West Park Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wood will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 413th, while West Park is ranked 181st).
Last Friday, Wood had to suffer through a rough 40-13 loss at the hands of Vacaville. Wood was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 21-0.
Although Wood took the loss, they still got scores from Mark Green and Kimani Dokes.
Meanwhile, West Park can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Lincoln 49-7 at home. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as West Park just coasted through the last quarter.
Jaden Jackson had a dynamite game for West Park, throwing for 238 yards and five touchdowns while completing 90% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Westin Wade, who rushed for 83 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.
Wood's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 4-6. As for West Park, their win bumped their record up to 8-2.
