The Sierra Linda Bulldogs had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a serious blow against Arizona College Prep on Friday, falling 52-19.
Arizona College Prep's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mikell Van Arsdale, who scored 9 points along with 14 rebounds and 6 assists. Victoria Benito was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 4 steals.
Sierra Linda's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Arizona College Prep, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Sierra Linda won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Copper Canyon at 10:30 a.m. on November 25th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arizona (Copper Canyon is ranked 85th, while Sierra Linda is ranked 92nd). As for Arizona College Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against Tucson High Magnet School at 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
