Triton's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ro'Mello Pegues, who posted 16 points along with seven steals and six boards. The dominant performance gave Pegues a new career-high in steals. Another player making a difference was Demarbiaz Devane, who earned 11 points and five rebounds.
Cj Roland had an outrageously good game for Overhills as he went 7-for-10 to rack up 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaiden Odom, who almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine boards.
Triton's loss dropped their record down to 18-9. As for Overhills, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season.
