Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Salem Hills walked away with it. They walked away with an 8-5 win over the West Jordan Jaguars on Thursday. The victory was nothing new for the Skyhawks as they're now sitting on six straight.
Kaleb DeGraffenried was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Braxton Harrison, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Salem Hills kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West Jordan only managed six hits.
Salem Hills' win bumped their record up to 14-15. As for West Jordan, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 21-6.
As of now, neither Salem Hills nor the Jaguars have any future games scheduled.
