Despite the defeat, Caliche saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Avery Bell dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. Bell has been hot, having posted ten or more boards the last five times he's played. Tayten Gerk also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assists of the season.
