This season hasn't been kind to the Innovation Montessori Panthers, who are still winless after their ninth matchup. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 56-33 walloping at the hands of Trinity Christian Academy on Friday. The contest was a close 18-16 at the break, but unfortunately for Innovation Montessori it sure didn't stay that way.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Owen Lofiego, who scored seven points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Tariq Imran, who scored seven points.
Innovation Montessori's defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-9. As for Trinity Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.
Innovation Montessori will be home for the holidays to greet Apopka Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Trinity Christian Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Tri-Cities Christian at 7:00 p.m. on December 27th.
