The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Thurgood Marshall Academy in their matchups with Parkside: they've now lost six in a row.
Parkside was led to victory by Semaj Marshall and Eliajh Butts. Marshall scored 19 points, while Butts scored 18 points. Kasson James was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Thurgood Marshall Academy dropped their record down to 0-12 with that loss, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Parkside, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Friendship Collegiate Academy the next time they take the court. Thurgood Marshall Academy will head out to face Friendship Collegiate Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Parkside will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
