Soquel is on a five-game streak of home wins, while Casa Roble is on a nine-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. The Soquel Knights will take on the Casa Roble Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (Soquel: 10.5, Casa Roble: 13.1) so any points scored will be well earned.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Soquel had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 28-0 victory over the Cougars at home. Soquel might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won five games by 21 points or more this season.
Soquel got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jordan Mccord out in front who rushed for 67 yards and a touchdown. Mccord was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 67 yards. Braylon Noble was another key contributor, rushing for 50 yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Casa Roble has more to be thankful for after their contest against Twelve Bridges on Friday. Casa Roble slipped by Twelve Bridges 23-22.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Casa Roble to victory, but perhaps none more so than Connor Campbell, who rushed for 79 yards and a touchdown on only six carries. Another player making a difference was Braylen Blevins, who gained 103 total yards and a touchdown.
Their wins bumped Soquel to 11-2 and Christopher to 11-2.
