We expected Waterloo East to have trouble with the significantly higher ranked Charles City on Friday, and they did. Waterloo East found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 34-61 punch to the gut against Charles City. It was a tough break for Waterloo East, who improved upon an already decent score from the game before but lost both times.
Waterloo East are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-6. The win bumped Charles City's record up to 4-1.
Next week Waterloo East take on Independence at 7:00 PM. Charles City will look to defend their home turf against Decorah-North Winneshiek at 7:30 PM. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous games.
