The biggest upset of the week belonged to Clinton, who took down 90th ranked Clinton, 21-14.
Woodruff extended the longest winning streak in AAA Region III this week by beating Chester, 37-26. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Wolverines.
Broome's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Corey Bennett threw for 73 and one touchdown and Chase Revels had 52 yards receiving. On the ground Cameron Dawkins chipped in 119 yards. Dawkins helped Broome's passing attack out by catching one ball for 23 yards.
The Red Devils' Landon Allison and Montez Boyd have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Allison has thrown for 336 yards this season, while Boyd has 12 catches for 156 yards. The Centurions' Dawkins leads the league in rushing yards with 762.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Chapman takes on Woodruff. The Panthers are currently in fifth, while Brian Lane's team is in first.
There should be lots of points scored when Broome and the Cyclones face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, John Turner's team comes in having scored 188 this season, while Chester has scored 144. The Centurions scored 37 points last week as they fell to Union County.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Broome takes on Anthony Sterling's team. The Centurions have allowed 154 points this season, while the Cyclones have given up 154. Broome allowed 51 points last week as it lost to the Yellowjackets.
Chapman made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 5,645 from 6,640. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 21-14 victory over Clinton last week.
