The Shiloh Generals are on the road again on Wednesday and play against the Tucker Tigers at 1:30 p.m. on December 27th. One thing working in Shiloh's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
Even though Carrollton scored an imposing 66 points on Tuesday, Shiloh still came out on top. Shiloh walked away with a 79-66 victory over Carrollton. Given Shiloh's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked third, while Carrollton is ranked 82nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Tylis Jordan was his usual excellent self, scoring 32 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. That makes it nine consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Shiloh's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jullien Cole, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Tucker had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 52-50 win over Lakeside. 52 seems to be a good number for Tucker as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Shiloh's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Tucker, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.
Shiloh strolled past Tucker in their previous meeting back in November of 2016 by a score of 62-46. Does Shiloh have another victory up their sleeve, or will Tucker turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
