Wyatt is 1-6 against the Bulldogs since December of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Wyatt Chaparrals will head out on the road to take on the Everman Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
A well-balanced attack led Wyatt over the Parrots in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Wyatt blew the Parrots out of the water with a 61-19 final score. The win made it back-to-back wins for Wyatt.
Wyatt's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cynaa Weathers, who scored 15 points along with four steals. Zyniesha Horner was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists.
Meanwhile, Everman waltzed into their game on Friday with three straight wins but they left with four. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat South Hills 60-6 on the road. Given Everman's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 617th, while the Scorpions are ranked 1515th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Wyatt is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 16-11 record this season. As for Everman, their win bumped their record up to 18-11.
Wyatt was dealt a bruising 61-34 defeat at the hands of the Bulldogs in their previous meeting back in January. Can Wyatt avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
