Center Grove found their leader in sophomore Jayden Biggerstaff, who rushed for 271 yards and one TD while picking up 8.0 yards per carry. Those 271 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Biggerstaff. Brodie Tilton helped out on the ground, rushing for 85 yards and a rushing touchdown.
Center Grove didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Vinny Hayse. He has been hot, having also posted five or more total tackles the last five times he's played.
Bloomington South's victory bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Center Grove, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Bloomington South has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 182.6 rushing yards per game.
