The Grove Christian School Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 20 points or more this season. Everything went their way against The Carmel School on Tuesday as Grove Christian School made off with a 31-11 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for Grove Christian School.
Grove Christian School's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emily Hopkins, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. Those eight rebounds set a new season-high mark for Hopkins. The team also got some help courtesy of Ore Oyefuga, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Grove Christian School now has a winning record of 3-2. As for The Carmel School, their loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-2.
Grove Christian School will take on Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Carmel School won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Quantico at 4:30 p.m. on December 13th.
