Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South is on  a three-game streak of home losses, New Hope Academy a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South will take on New Hope Academy at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Keep an eye on the score for this one:  both teams posted some lofty  point totals in their previous games.
 Last Thursday, Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South came up short against Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North  and fell  71-61. Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South has not had much luck with Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
 Meanwhile, New Hope Academy also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Fairfax Christian by a score of  80-71. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game  on Tuesday (57), New Hope Academy still had to take the loss.
 The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was  Jalen Martinez, who  scored 26 points along with eight  rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of  DJ Thomas, who  scored 20 points along with five  rebounds.
 Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South has  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost seven of their last eight games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record  this season. As for New Hope Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 15-20.
 Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South strolled past New Hope Academy when the teams last played  back in December of 2017 by a score of  69-51. Will Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South repeat their success,  or does  New Hope Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
