Phillips strolled past Perspectives Leadership/Technology with points to spare, taking the game 71-55. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Phillips also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Leading Phillips to victory were Amari Edwards and Lawrence Horton. Edwards scored 23 points along with six steals, while Horton scored 28 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Edwards is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played. Michael White, Jr was another key contributor, scoring four points along with eight assists and five steals.
Perspectives Leadership/Technology lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kenric Mosby, who scored 21 points along with five rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mosby has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tim Handy, who scored 11 points along with six assists and six rebounds.
Phillips has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. As for Perspectives Leadership/Technology, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-7.
Phillips will take on Francis W. Parker at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Francis W. Parker is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Perspectives Leadership/Technology, they will head out on the road to challenge Hyde Park at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hyde Park is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
