Bethany has enjoyed a seven-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Casady Cyclones at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bethany will be strutting in after a victory while Casady will be coming in after a loss.
Bethany stacked a fourth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard last Thursday. They claimed a resounding 59-11 win over Clinton at home. Given Bethany's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 26th, while Clinton is ranked 391st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Casady was just a bucket shy of victory on Saturday and fell 43-42 to Washington. Casady has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Bethany's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Casady, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Bethany against Casady when the teams last played back in December of 2021 as the team secured a 70-33 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bethany since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
